I feel like this game actually has the potential to bomb. Square-Enix has an uphill battle convincing people to go in on this game because 1.) it will not be the complete story releasing next year, and 2.) Square-Enix was honest at E3 that the 2nd half will take just as much time to complete development. People are looking at a 3 - 5 year wait for the 2nd half. That is a very tough sell.

Depends how complete of a package the first game is I guess- I can see myself playing the first game, getting my fill of the gameplay, and then just watching the rest on YouTube or something.

Definitely buying it on PC whenever it's on sale- wanted to play it on console initially for some reason.

But yeah I must play it again; the sheer amount of combat variety/options absolutely demands it

I played some No Man's Sky Beyond VR for a couple hours today, drat has that game come a long, long way. The fuckin' tutorial is ridiculously long, they go out of their way to teach you everything in the most convoluted way possible.

Ascribing objective "best" to anything is fairly ineffable, so whenever you hear that, just substitute the words "my favorite" for "the best" and you'll be a-ok!

I completely agree. But Tricky and 3 were the high point of the series and its all been worse since then, so odds are EA is incapable of making another good SSX.
