Florida & Allegheny County authorities collaborated and he's awaiting extradition from PA to Florida currently. They arrested him at his apartment in Pittsburgh. I thought there were Federal charges involved but I think I was wrong.

you have to wonder if mlb and all the teams knew something was going on with vazquez legally. or even if there were rumors about this going on. him not being traded was absolutely puzzling at the time, but if this investigation or smoke was known throughout the league, then there we go. but yea, i hope to never hear about him again.

I didn't think the non-trade was all that puzzling. At the time of the trade deadline he was cheap, productive, and under control for three or four more years (I don't feel like confirming how many sorry). Those are exactly the players the Pirates FO won't move unless it's a kings ransom. Most logical landing place was LA and they didn't want to move their absolute top prospects.
