Better Call Saul is incredibly boring and the stories they're trying to tell are uninteresting at best and flat out inconsequential at worst. It's the television equivalent of not only watching paint dry, but watching paint dry again on a wall you've already painted.

It's slow, but hardly boring, because the characters inform every scene they are in. It's not a show to watch if you need nonstop action to keep you interested. It's much more interested in framing each scene in a way that reflects the character's mood. I can understand why people wouldn't like it, but it sure hits the spot for me. I wouldn't want every show to be like it, though.

If you don't care about the characters then the framing doesn't much matter. It is shot very well and the actors are very talented. It's just one of those shows that I think the whole is worse than the sum of it's parts.

The directing is top notch. The editing is top notch. But the writing...the writing is terrible.
