Hope that means we’ll get VS restorations of Demented Death Farm Massacre, Croaked: Frog Monster From Hell, Curse of the Cannibal Confederates, Video Demons do Psychotown, Space Zombie Bingo, and Fertilize the Blaspheming Bombshell. I hope we get tons more Troma from them. I know that they're close so we can hope!!! I'd die if they got the bizarre porno flicks that Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz produced pre-Troma. I used to work there and I know they have the elements...a man can dream!

I, Butthole posted:Also, beware if you're buying John Wick 3 in Australia, apparently. The blu and DVD release are censored, with the 4k edition being uncensored. The New Zealand one as well. I suppose they just slap the Office of Film and Literature Classification rating onto an Australian blu-ray. It is minor, as Lord of Booty stated, but it's still pretty annoying.

Yeah it's certainly not A Big Deal, but it is weird restricting the uncut version to UHD, and not mentioning it at all on either release. Its enough to cause a rating change, but the franchise has been solidly 18+ up to this point iirc

Yeah I honestly didn’t think it would go as far as it did, so it was quite shocking for a mainstream movie.

I'm surprised Kino Lorber hasn't put out any more UHDs recently, they did Hannibal and I expected that to be just the start but then nothing since.

trdn89 posted:Great McGinty is not one of my favorite Sturgeseseseseses but I will buy it in the hopes that it convinces them to redo this whole box in 4K Probably won't happen since Criterion has Sullivan's Travels, The Lady Eve, The Palm Beach Story, and Unfaithfully Yours (all Universal except for the last) while Kino Lorber has Christmas in July and The Great McGinty, as well as The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend (first two from Universal, last from Fox). Kino already said someone else has Hail the Conquering Hero, but I don't think they said anything about The Great Moment. Paramount is supposedly working on a restoration of The Miracle of Morgan's Creek, which is the only one of Sturges' films from that era they retained since the rest were sold to Universal decades ago. And Criterion is supposed to be working on a Harold Lloyd sound film set that would possibly include The Sin of Harold Diddlebock.
