the documentation goes over the requirements and limitations in a lot more detail but basically https://github.com/pond3r/ggpo/blob/master/doc/DevelopmentGuide.md quote:In order for this to work, your game engine must meet three criteria: for the FBA build of GGPO that people are most familiar with, these requirements can usually be satisfied by brute forcing with emulator save states. 1. every game is loaded from a specially prepared save state to ensure both clients have the exact same initial conditions to guarantee determinism 2. the game state is entirely stored in RAM which is captured by a save state 3. GGPO-FBA continuously saves and loads save states in the background to accomplish rollback Modern 3D games are a lot more complicated which makes this brute force method more difficult: 1. stuff like player profiles and a system clock means deterministic state can't ever be established 2. there's a hell of a lot more going on in RAM like 3d geometry and physics... 3. ...that can't be saved and loaded in real time fast enough for rollback to work properly Even a 2D game like UNIEL might have a lot of stuff going on under the hood that makes the brute force method impossible, but I think the poverty game casters work similarly to ggpo-fba so it might not be as difficult as something like Tekken

DOA has that weird softcore-porn paradox going on where it's primarily made for horny nerds, but as a direct result, it's got a lot of female characters who are important to the plot and do serious things and are all accomplished within their respective fields of endeavor. Even Honoka is some kind of high-school martial arts prodigy despite being a clumsy idiot. So it's got more women playing it than you'd expect.
