Owens has a friendly relationship with Austin and has been wanting to use the stunner in WWE for a while before he started using it. Austin gave him his blessing as long as he did it right I think he used to use it infrequently on the indies too although generally in the context of an obvious callback to Austin

It led to a funny diatribe from Austin on his podcast about the exact mechanics of the Stunner and how if you didn't properly kick the guy in the gut first then it was the difference between landing a knockout punch in boxing after taking the wind out of the opponent and just plain hitting him in the head

I'm just glad Dominic managed to dodge spending Christmas with James Ellsworth. I'll probably continue it later. I think it's very interesting how custody of Dominic goes from the midcard with Christian to the main event, then back down into the midcard for a year before going back to the main event scene.

Did Crush just start using the same facepaint from his Demolition days when he became "Japanese Sympathizer Crush"? Also, when I was a kid, I always wanted a pair of Adam Bomb glasses. At a house show in the early 90s I was in the front row and Bret Hart gave me his glasses. The cord was already broken and the foam around the edges was soaked in Bret sweat. I threw them out on the way home because I didn't like him at the time and they smelled loving terrible. I was nine years old.

Were the recurring jobbers on WWF Superstars mostly local workers, or was there of a handful of contracted job guys in there? Like I believe Brooklyn Brawler was with WWF full time despite performing exclusively as a jobber (correct me if I'm wrong). And what about a guy like Barry Horowitz? Barry Horowitz had a run in the late 80s where he was a jobber who would actually sometimes get wins against people even lower on the totem pole than he was (including David Sammartino and, amazingly enough, Ken Shamrock in 1988) before he left and came back for his New Generation jobber career where he got that weird mini-push from beating Candido

mike sharpe had a similar obsessive mind to that of a guy like chris benoit. then he went into the training business which is a terrible idea for a person with ocd and who was generally a perfectionist. it somehow worked out well. if he had received just a few more concussions it may not have.
