Could have been any number of issues other than traction. But that right there is why a Miata slays Corvettes in autocross.

So apparently there's Aussies making 750hp V12 LS motors. With 6XX ft/lb of torque on tap just, you know, whenever you want it. NA. Pump gas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMvQ03G08j0 Realllly wanna see somebody build one of these to the moon and slap a pair of huge fuckoff turbos on it.

A weird thing to think about is how the record setting Veyron was 1200hp with an 8L V16. I feel like that kind of power would be easy with a block like that. I bet you the whole car won't cost $1.7 million either.

That means fully road legal in quantity, emissions, safety, etc. The Veyron was also designed to do 250mph over and over again, assuming you could change tires fast enough.

Its not like a custom axle shaft is really that expensive as this project goes and the arm can be home made.

No idea, it's been how many loving years since this started? *edit: 6 years hence why I'm asking. I just don't remember the driveshafts getting lopped down or anything else being made narrower to fit a teeny Mini bodyshell. I mean thinking about it they must have done but 6 loving years is a long time. Olympic Mathlete fucked around with this message at 18:27 on Feb 10, 2020 |

I honestly don't remember much outside of fender flares and chopping the driveshaft. Maybe some tweaks to the uprights in the front to fit the steering.

That was fairly early in the build process, no idea how many episodes or years ago. Remember all that stuff was on the car a couple episodes ago, they just stripped it all off to send the chassis to the body shop.
