Baptist is a general title any group can adopt. It's not strictly a denomination. Even the formal groups of them are still congregational meaning each church is independent and votes it's own thing. Not corporate oversight or bishop's or councils, but they do have conferences and stuff. Saying baptists say or do any particular thing is a misnomer. Especially dancing, see any black Baptist church.  Baptists dont all agree on baptism even!Incedently that's why you can have terrible Westboro Baptist monsters calling themselves that. There are some Baptist traditions that have bishoprics, but mostly outside of the US and there aren’t many. “Episcopal Baptist” is the general term used for those traditions, because religion should obviously be as confusing as possible! There are some Baptist churches and groups in the US that have bishops (most of these are historically Black churches and groups), but they don’t have an encompassing bishopric structure like the traditions cited above.
