My first concert was Garbage with Lit as the opener. There were less than a thirty people in the audience which was weird as gently caress since it was a free concert (I think so, at least), in a college town. This was when Lit was kinda popular. Garbage was amazing, obviously. E: I’m not counting the Christian praise bands I was dragged to see when I was younger, because they were all terrible

I saw Weird Al a few months ago. Money well spent, including paying a chunk for a meet-and-greet. Also, 95% sure the fangirl in front of me handed Al a fat envelope full of nudes.

First real concert? Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Summer of 1988. Big stadium show, they went without an opening act and just played for like three hours straight. Good stuff.

Uh, it was Gary Morris I think. I was at this outdoor recreation show when I was like 12 and my parents made me work this booth they set up. Anyway, he was like the guest of honor and I got goaded by adults into asking him for his autograph and he was a complete dismissive rear end in a top hat, although in fairness I didn't know who the hell he was. I saw the concert part later, he's famous for covering "Wind beneath my wings." Or was. He was probably bitter because Bette Midler covered it much more famously later (and during that time, I guess.) All of my later concert experiences were much better, gently caress that guy.

That was a loving great show though. Crowd booed Jimmy Eat World off the stage.

My mom took me to see The Headstones after I won tickets in a radio call-in contest when I was 13. Some people were smoking weed nearby and she asked if I knew the smell. I thought she was weird because my dad smoked crack and I thought it was like a less gross form of that so I said yes. I didn't know about drugs or the different types, I just sat in my room playing video games and reading books as a kid and just knew it as the gross stuff dad smoked. She was actually trying to find out if I was smoking it yet because she did when she was in her teens and assumed I was going to do the same thing. I didn't actually try it until I was like 26.

My daughter allowed a oncexa week visit. We were all a now one bug happy family fir shirtvtime when another disagreement erupted. Wherecdaughters MIL and brother were cut off for three months. The other grandmother bonded with her grandchild so did the uncle No begging or pleading woukd allow them back in my daughters good grces. No pleading from me worked. MIL at herxwirs end reported my daughter to Children’s Aid. Being an immigrant from South American , she was completely unaware of what could have been secevere repercussions. My daughter went hysterical , then ballistic. That was 9 years ago. The MIL was completely severed from the child’s life from there on end. The uncles relationship Was semi severed. All depended on his behaviour on any. given day. . MIL went the legal route that failed. Every avenue act her disposal was exhausted. To gain access. My daughter put roadblocks everywhere. SIL was no match for my daughters wrath. In my conversation with MILs lawyer, he told me he actually seen evil in my daughters eyes. Same lawyer we hired when we were punished. And a couple short ones: quote:We’ve found all of your threads and websites too, estranged children. He would have beat the poo poo out of her if she tried to so anything about it. My home was extremely broken and I'm amazed I made it this far and as well as I have, honestly. I was a good kid but presumed bad because my mom was bad and thought I was going to end up just like her. She never paid enough attention to get to know the real me, and that never changed, which eventually grew into a lot of our modern problems. Everything I say is a lie, only she knows what's really going on. And she just pushed everyone away.
