Thank you.

yes congratulations to rogue one for merely being incredibly boring rather than various combinations of incompetently directed and stupid

It's still pretty loving bad (and Force Awakens is better even though it's not good).

The space battle is good though.

I have a general rule for this where if every other part of the movie is an interesting and well assembled narrative that isn't making me feel insulted to be watching it, then whatever the movie just fudged for dramatic effect gets a pass.

That's what makes it hilarious and great to me. Oh, this...isn't a movie about horse racing? I dunno, I had fun watching it; for as long as its runtime is it doesn't really drag like a lot of Bond movies can.

I watched A View To A Kill around Thanksgiving and it was pretty good fun, but has a ridiculous runtime. Tanya Roberts as a geologist is up there with Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist. Overall the best Moore film to me, other than maybe The Spy Who Loved Me.

Diana Rigg is who makes OHMSS worth watching, and then welp.

Diana Rigg is probably my favorite Bond girl, she had stuff to do in her movie.

A View To A Kill needed more unhinged Christopher Walken, like when he's machine-gunning his own men.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a boring movie

Amazon Prime has a bunch of episodes.

As far as I know, Universal owns Columbo lock, stock, and barrel, so they could every Columbo movie up on Peacock. They won't because they're morons, but they should.

columbo is very good and I highly recommend it, I got in to it from seeing various clips on the youtube and now I'm hooked.

fun fact: the first regular episode of the show was directed by a young steven spielberg (back in 1971).

here's some good clips from some episodes you may want to try:

young martin sheen gets murdered:

from the second tv-movie pilot they did:

old man columbo from the later seasons:

columbo really nails the guy in this one:

also a weird old tv fact, they made a columbo spin-off about his (previously unseen) wife called Mrs. Columbo starring kathryn janeway (kate mulgrew). it was received so badly that they did a hard pivot away from the columbo ties, renaming the character, and then the show first to Kate the Detective and later to Kate Loves a Mystery. it wasn't enough and they cancelled it after 2 short seasons.

Pretty much this. Fudge it, don't break it. JJ really bad as he constantly sets off the BS alarm no matter the movie.

R1's scene had gotten a logical enough setup, wasn't too out of line and wasn't some game breaker. The Hammer Head corvette is from Empire at War RTS where it is really annoying as it literally takes a capital ship out of the battle for at least a minute shoving it god knows where.

I treat R1 like a short film by watching only the last third. Congrats Disney for making only 1/3 of a sort of decent SW movie out of 5. I swear the first 2/3 is almost all re-shoots. It feels so different on so many levels.

Goldeneye has my top favourite Bond girls. the double entendre names throughout the series. It's a toss up between Gold Finger's Pussy Galore and Moon Raker's Holly Goodhead. Onaatope a contender.

Onatopp wins hands down once you take her scenes into account. This is how to trade barbs with Bond.

Walken was shamefully underutilised.
