I keep forgetting that Villeneuve also made a film about the École Polytechnic shooting. It's really good but extremely depressing.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

It is for having fun like talking about your favorite alien or posting pictures from Star Wars development, or remembering old Star Wars fan films like the time that someone made Star Wars in ASCII. It's not a punishment, it's a good time where we can have fun!

They didn't really do much with the dream concept in the second half, and the plot was pretty straightforward. Kinda felt like they spent their mental craziness budget in the initial concept and Nolan thought if they didn't keep the plot simple then people would be too confused. I mean, it was fine, it just kinda seemed to sell the concept short and wrap everything up too neatly. It felt very Hollywood.

Then the "is he still dreaming?" is tacked on to the end to make everything seem more profound than it is.

I did appreciate the character names.

i dont love inception or anything, but i had more fun/enjoyment watching it than i did with arrival. i keep telling myself ill watch arrival again because maybe ill like it more the 2nd time around, but it just didnt seem special to me

i did just rewatch the lighthouse tonight (with subtitles) and it was great the 2nd time around. i missed so much good dialogue in the theater cause im loving deaf and also the accents got crazy at times.

Exactly how did they sell the concept short? They established the rules early on therefore stakes. The rules are followed as the world flies off a bridge in a van. It lead to most excellent action scenes. It came out neat because they followed the rules and it told it's story in it's entirety. No sequel bait. The plot was less is more so it could concentrate on the visuals and action.

I saw the top being a bit of a troll and it earned it.

Imagine if JJ tried to make something like that, he couldn't but if he tried it would be such a good drat mess you would be begging for "Neat" and a poop scooper.

I do wonder if there are any other director who could have made Inception other than Nolan.
