Considering they keep trying to retcon everything after Adventure...maybe they should just stop making Adventure stuff! Also the Agumon/Gabumon names suck but also so do the forms and the movie they're in so it's fitting. Absolutely nothing went right here, lol.

I'll cop to not being super plugged in to the Digicommunity, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone asking for more Adventure. Hyped for Tri at first but that faded pretty quick.

The problem is, once again, Japan's declining birthrates; marketing towards children is becoming more and more of a niche market. Young adults who're disenfranchied with the present and nostalgic for the past are a much more viable demographic.

Words cannot describe how much I don’t want Konaka’s Digimon Tamers 2018 premise to actually be made, purely based on the premise that Jianliang joining the NSA is the most out of character direction they could possibly taken. Takato being GT Goku and making the portrayal of his relationship with Juri even more unhealthy is bad enough, but that’s the absolute worst part.

If Garuruman had piledrivers on its wrists instead of guns then maybe he could have been something. Though his design as it is now isn’t really offensive to me, just disappointing.

I like how all the Kenji art subtly downplays Greyman's disgusting, bulbous forearms as much as it can. As long as you focus on the gauntlets your brain can fill in normal arms right behind them. Then the official art puts his gross Popeye limbs on full display, mocking me.

Kenji's designs are infinitely better than the movie ones and still aren't great. His Garuruman is decent, though. Possibly spoilers: They revealed the design of Menoa's original partner digimon. The worst part about Greyman is that I can’t tell if he’s supposed to be a giant naked orange man or just wearing armor that just so happens to look like the skin of a giant naked orange creature. If it’s the latter, why not at least change the colors in a few spots to make it more obviously artificial. If the former, just why?! At least Garuruman is clearly wearing clothes. What were they thinking?!

The movie art definitely does not help, but I'd say Agumon: BoC is still terrible in every style. It's unclear what's armour, what's skin, if it's both or neither, leading to a very uncanny design that's too humanoid to be naked but also too unclear if it's not. Gabumon: BoF is perfectly fine and I could see it working in other contexts, just not as an Adventure Gabumon final form.
