Is F1 in and of itself actually profitable for any team? I've heard that for Mercedes the world-wide exposure is worth billions in marketing (however they measure this?) for the Merc. brand. Same for Ferrari. But even if a team like Haas was winning Championships, what would they actually get out of it? Very few people are going to be buying Haas machining tools....
