Anyone else think that they may already have had Coronavirus back in late 2019?

I’m in the UK, got sick with pretty much all the symptoms on Christmas Eve, and took a few weeks to get right afterwards.

This despite having had the flu jab.

There are other viruses and bad colds, but this was the hardest I’ve been hit for some years.

i had some lovely chest cold where the only symptons were shortness of breath and just feeling like poo poo. I was like vaguely sure i had the virus for a minute because i have a lot of contact with students from abroad.

of course it was just some dumb cold probably and it cleared up in 2 weeks.

I wonder if the break-in by Chinese nationals (one who later died) at the National Microbiology Laboratory (biohazard level 4 site) in Winnipeg, Canada in July 2019 has anything to do with this

Uyghurs situation in Xinjiang? Just a police action, do not fret. Not ongoing genocide like in EVIL Canada.

I am definitely not a tankie.

I know I've been joking and japing a lot in this thread, but I'm beginning to get really frightened and I don't know what to do.

It's a matter of time before they start delaying games with themes relating to viruses and quarantine and what if they delay Resident Evil 3? :ohdear:

remember when i posted the news article about the dog testing positive for the virus and most experts thought it was just because of environmental contamination?

Coronavirus: pet dog belonging to Covid-19 patient infected, Hong Kong health authorities confirm

quote:

Hong Kong health authorities confirmed on Wednesday that a pet dog belonging to a Covid-19 patient had contracted the coronavirus, with experts calling it the first reported case of human-to-animal transmission.
The Pomeranian, which repeatedly tested “weak positive” since last Friday – suggesting it was surface contamination, with the dog picking up traces of the virus in its nose and mouth rather than being actually infected – will now remain under quarantine with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for further testing.

“It is positive to tests and has been infected, so it is now quarantined in a centre by the department,” health minister Sophia Chan Siu-chee said during a regular press briefing.
“Further tests will be conducted and it will not be released until the tests return negative results.”
Quarantine recommended for pets of Hongkongers with Covid-19

The department said experts from the University of Hong Kong, City University and the World Organisation for Animal Health had been consulted, and all “unanimously agreed that these results suggest that the dog has a low level of infection and it is likely to be a case of human-to-animal transmission”.
A spokesman stressed there was still no evidence that pet animals could be a source of infection of Covid-19 or that they could fall sick. He added that apart from maintaining good hygiene practices, pet owners need not be overly concerned and under no circumstances should they abandon their pets.

i also finally talked with my parents today to make sure they were up to speed on the general recommendations. they were pretty on the ball already though but live in florida with a bunch of other old people so if it gets going down there it could be unpleasant
