I wouldn't be surprised if it gets worse here in the US than in China, except we'll have a spike in respiratory illness deaths of unknown origin, simply because we can't track them. I'm in the UK & we don't seem to be any better mate, it's just that I can't see this being as big as being touted. Sure it's going to suck if/when you catch it but 'normal' flu will sit you on your arse for at least a couple weeks if not more.

The Dutch government today gave the advice to stay at home if you have underlying health problems. They haven't canceled schools or anything, but one of the confirmed cases was of a child who goes to a school just a few blocks from our house so I'm pretty sure I've been exposed to it as has everyone in our town.

So my friends studying to be a paramedic and is riding around in ambulances in London atm and apparently most of the paramedics just don't give a poo poo about Corona and are saying it's "basically the flu" which is either the right way to look at it or they're really horribly under prepared/ briefed on this. Like I get there's a degree of panic in the public but also I figure something with fairly large mortality rate compared to flu would be taken more seriously.
