You had the first wave of takedowns after ISIS decided to declare war on half the world, which led to a bunch of rebel stuff being taken down by tech companies wanting to get rid of "terrorist propaganda." Since 2016, a lot of the pro-government media stuff has been wiped too as part of the Russiagate backlash. Even legit Russian and Iranian media outlets regularly get banned from YouTube.

It is the the capital of Jawf province. From there they've pushed close to the city of Marib which is where Saudi Arabia is launching it's air strikes from. Looks like there maybe a ceasefire to in the works.
