Hmmm. Nothing really fits together yet. Game's not throwing us a ton of clues honestly. Not sure where Date fits into Hitomi's story either, since obviously he was present when Hitomi was shot.

So I'm not overly familiar with games in this vein, so how likely ("likely" as in anyone's opinion from past experiences) is it that this game will end with "It really was the Illuminati/whatever secret society we chose to talk about"? Maybe it's just me, but I'd just find that really disappointing.

It is about equally possible that some wild concept that is just brought up out of the blue is either entirely the correct solution or that it's a complete red herring. That's just how Uchi rolls.

So I was thinking; given the game is trying to suggest the idea that Somnium affects the real world, maybe rather than merely being a decision to believe Iris or not, this is actually where the game decides if Naix is real or not? Like by believing Iris via Somnium, you will Naix into existence, and the choice represents two parallel worlds. Of course that's assuming the game really plans on having all the pseudo-science stuff be true.

Well, uh... we learned something new, so I guess that counts as progress in the investigation? (Also I had to look up what exactly the deal with Renju's watch was, so if anyone else needs the reminder: Video 11, at 6:50.) It's rather frustrating that the game seems to have completely forgotten about one particular line of investigation: what happened the night Iris was killed/not killed. We know that she was streaming late at night, and someone came to her house and interrupted her. But we don't know who it was, or whether she left her house with that person, or what they talked about, or anything else. Iris refused to answer Date's questions about it because she wanted him to stick around and protect her, which is fair enough, but that's all out in the open now. There's no reason she couldn't tell Date about what happened that night. Instead, neither Iris nor Date have brought it up at all. I'm sure it'll come up again eventually, but still.
