My archery range officially closed and I didn't pick up my bow so I will not be able to effortlessly hunt down wildebeests and free range TP post collapse. The weather's nice tho and I'm half wondering if Amazon would deliver me a new bow given current restrictions...

Working from home on the world's slowest VPN (stress tests? what are those?). I have anxiety bordering on agoraphobia and for the past few months I've lapsed to only going out of the house to work, to my therapist's office or to eat out. None of those are options now so it's full hermitage for however long this poo poo lasts. silver lining is that I don't have to wear a bra anymore

I was playing Civ IV: BtS last night and kicked Catherine's rear end. Stole Yekaterinburg and Yakutsk right out from under her nose with a bunch of well-trained riflemen & grenadiers. That's what she gets for having an annoyed attitude toward me for the whole time.

I'm at home alternating between being bummed out that my first decently paying acting gig is now pushed off indefinitely, and freaking out at every tiny cough from my seasonal allergies because my asthmatic and anxiety-prone self has a husband unable to stop working outside of the house and interacting with the public. Gonna try to read the mountain of books I have stockpiled, organize my craft supplies, and try not to destroy my fragile immune system with constant panic.

I just added that to my wishlist in hopes it'll go on sale sometime. It's $20 which isn't bad at all but the game is 15 years old. I'm not sure if I've played Civ IV but I think I played 3 before. In the winter I was playing a lot of Civ V which isn't too bad but I got bored with it.

Bought my toddler some toy trucks to play with in the yard once the inevitable order that we are forbidden to leave our homes hits. Made very nice roast beef sandwhiches for lunch since Mr Ralph is WFH, and readjusting my shopping/planning to reflect now I got to feed two adults and a toddler three meals a day. Trying to finish my novel that I started in 2016 (which features a pandemic!) and hoping there still may be a market for it. Since it's St Patricks day we're having some whiskey now that the kids in bed.

went to the grocery store and it was pretty crazy. no meat really besides some ribeyes. 3 bags of lima beans. no bags of rice. frozen section bare except for novelty ice cream. thankfully the weedshop stayed open despite the governor calling for all non essential businesses to close. thank you brave weed guy.

I deep cleaned my kitchen and laundry room today. I used to work for the unemployment department in Oregon. Since Im probably home for the next few weeks Im going to see if they need volunteers to process UI claims for a while (with lots of places closed up their system is overloaded with claimants. Be nice to push some through before rent is due.
