enjoy it while you can, I'm betting polis lifts our quarantine before the end of april

the only thing i really want to see at this point is turbo legalization of weed delivery. I'm still Good, but i've got about 2 weeks left before it gets dire

also, side note that denver dispensaries were lauded at the outset because they were literally the first businesses to strongly enforce hygiene and social distancing laws, partially because 95% of them already have a mantrap room and limited occupancy and partially because you HAVE to wear nitrile if you are pawing at sticky nugs for 8 hours a day

meanwhile in the northern boondocks of Lafayette, the dispensaries are doing great and literally every restaurant is begging for your business

I have a telemedicine appointment with my doc tomorrow morning to see what specialist they can hook me up with in These Uncertain Times.

well, both sides are bad and selling us all out. it took a bipartisan effort for the neolibs to fully rot the economy over the past few decades and this new relief bill that passed unanimously is the biggest transfer of wealth from us to the top in american history

It's enough to finally make me look, except for the fact there's a global recession going on.

same but this is every year. "please submit your budget and resource requirements" "ok, we need at least one additional person in Europe, preferably two" "hahaha HIRING FREEZE! Also please reduce all budget by 30% and all replacements must be in India"

but seriously why is everyone buying water

like toilet paper is actually kind of in short supply at the consumer facing end because morons keep hoarding it all, so i guess i get why people are jumping on it when they see it. my local grocery is still completely sold out

but water comes out of the loving tap

do these people like...do they just not use tap water at all? do they cook with bottled water? do they brush their teeth with it?

because at the top of every preparedness checklist is water, because you can’t live without it

even if the risk of disruption is low in this case, it’s probably a good idea to have on hand

The late 90s/early 2000s were spent feverishly by soft drink makers and others convincing Americans to fully embrace water as fully commodified

I dunno, there's still a significant chance that the government fails to do anything for the common man or fails to do it in time and things get really, really bad. rent is due tomorrow for millions of people and small businesses and those stimulus checks are still weeks away just because of bureaucracy. if the entire wage slave class 100% implodes there's going to be a lot of anger and a lot of pressure and it will get even harder to claim the system is working and can recover

It's now 3pm Tuesday and nobody has heard a peep out of HR. I hope I wasn't expected to get anything done this afternoon. :allears:

In San Francisco the water comes straight from the Yosemite valley and it's so pure they don't even filter it. Just add chlorine and pump it into the pipes. People here are still going nuts for the bottled stuff.
