Just go to the J-X terminal on Sanctuary, dude. You'll need a decent (but not huge) supply of eridium but you'll roll an anoint on a plain one fairly quickly in my experience. Usually isn't that hard to get what you're after fairly quickly if you farm bosses that drop eridium

I check that every time I'm in Sanctuary and it's almost always trash weapons with worse annointments for classes I don't play.

I thought he was the best boss in the dlc. Dunno if the anarchy ruined the last boss or not. Just seemed... lame even on m4.

Completely unrelated I have killed myself far too many times falling for the "shoot me...!" sign before it bounced off far enough.

You can hit all the shards on both sides from the mainland with a sniper rifle. You might be shooting at a small portion of either of the back shards, but that's what I did and it saved a lot of hassle.

I tried that and it wasn't doing any damage. Also I tried using krakatoa on that boss and after the first round he was down to <10% health, still did all the phases

I'm not sure if Moze was buffed too much or my build for her is just finally coming into its own about level 20+ or so. I went with a dual miniguns build and when things get too hairy I just hop on in, hold both mouse buttons down and then things go away. It even does okay for bosses. Maybe I'm just playing her correctly, which would be novel in my case.

I didn't find the minigun that great when I tried it, seemed to overheat too fast and I'm already so deep in the Demolition Woman tree I feel I might as well at stick with rockets. Right now I'm using homing rockets+ nuke and it does pretty well. I like the fire and forget nature of the homing rockets, you can just sweep across the screen and tag a bunch of targets.

Insta death jump puzzles in this game loving blow. Reminded me of the sequence in the BL2 Tiny Tina DLC where if you fail enough times the game just gives up making you retry it.

I have the same problem with the Takedown. The only time I die is from falling off the platforms during the Valkyrie fight.

The nuke is great but dual explosive minigun beats everything.

The amount of uptime you can get with Iron Bear is pretty bonkers, most of the time I'm ejecting because I don't need it at the moment with plenty of fuel to spare. Tends to run out of hp far more often than just running out of gas in intense firefights.

I used the wedding invitation and had no problems shooting the shards.

I also experienced issues with the phases. I'd shoot all the shards and he'd still be in his bubble for a few seconds gaining his shields or armor.

Yes but it's likely to involve a lot of grenade throwing. Some stuff Moze can do just as well as any other VH, but, for instance, the Takedown is gonna be slower.

grenade + splash damage builds do ok, also the new mod from the 2nd expansion gives lifesteal. Paired with the pearl you can get a decent infinite ammo gun build that will heal you forever as long as you're hitting targets. I tried that one out with someone elses save file that had near perfect gear, and honestly it was meh. The damage just doesn't scale that well since annoints are relatively hard to use with it.

I just picked this up and I’m a level 12ish Siren. Any tips? I’m using the stasis ability because I play solo and locking dudes down that annoy me seems useful(and that’s what I did in BL2)

I could give ya a lot but I think some of the fun in these games is in trying out skills yourself. One pointer: basically always take 3/3 in Personal Space (tier one green skill) unless you the need the points to go down another tree. The damage boost is bigger than the description says and it actually applies from a pretty big distance.

With the new level cap you get exactly enough skill points to get the other two capstones and 3/3 personal space, so there's basically no excuse!

Do all the side missions that you can. Not only does it pump up your exp to make the story bosses more manageable, you get a lot of insights to the backstory.

Don't forget you can fast travel from anywhere. Press X in the fast travel menu to go back to continent/planet view, which is great to save tons of time by not needing to backtrack nearly as much.

TBH this is the best thing they've added compared to the previous 2 games, it makes things so much better.

Time passes quickly on the weekend.

And yet it's so ingrained in me from the previous games, I am still running back to the fast travel machines each time I want to switch locations.

Have they added the "fast travel from anywhere" feature post launch? Because the "broken" one-way fast travel stations make no sense in this game and it's funny seeing them in some places.

Tracking multiple quests at the same time still eludes them though.

There any viable melee builds? Right now I'm doing both blue/red caps with phasezerker. Spam phasecast and try not to die to anarchy reload bomb is the general play style.

Digital Osmosis

Smile, Citizen! Happiness is Mandatory.

Melee is mostly green but a little spread out. Not sure how viable it is a Mayhem 4 - not to say it isn't, just that I'm getting up to speed at M4 and tend only to trust builds that everyone says is OP since it's pretty difficult - but it's fun as gently caress before then. Probably only cap out green and then go into blue for action skill boosts or red for elemental damage boost. Kind of an eyeballing guess but if you were gonna cap out another tree I'd go blue for the double action skill so you can keep proccing the "extra melee damage after phaseslam" anointments. Amara's endgame OP build involves constantly missing with phasegrasp, lighting yourself on fire with Spiritual Driver, turning that being-on-fire into damage with an Elementalist artifact, and running around at full speed. It's... not that fun, actually!

Was considering leveling the guys I hadn't, Moze or Fl4K. Moze just got a bit of a buff, right? I feel like with her I have an idea where to go though, she's fair straightforward. What does a Fl4K build for Mayhem 4 look like? Looking over his anointments it seems like Rakk Attack has the best one (targets take 100% increased damage) or maybe Gamma Burst (115% extra radiation damage), although I don't seem to hear too many people championing Gamma Burst in general.

I found it very funny when Gaige said "Hey I've found an emergency fast travel station for you", when I just opened my menu and fast traveled out.

Katt

Pretty sure in the casino DLC there's a fast travel station at the robot guy in the ship bay that just doesn't work. You can poke it but you can't travel to it. So you got about 2km to travel on foot from the start whenever you want to do a quest there.

How do sidequests work on NG+ and mayhem modes? can we ever screw ourselves out of max level rewards because we didn't wait until the level cap to do them?

There's a red and grey chest right next to that specific fast travel.

I've missed so many red chests near fast travels, because of menu travelling. There's one after Geniviv, the first Traunt, Eleanor, that rear end in a top hat Bonded boss in the library, and most likely other bosses.

If you feel feel like replaying the entire campaign up to that point, sure, you can repeat side missions as many times as you want.

I have no idea why Gearbox thought this was fine. It's not just about level. The anointment might break or make an item too.

The player VHs are better realised as characters too. Obviously a lot of that is being more conversational in game than the first 2 (TPS also did it and it's probably not a coincidence I like Athena so much and hope they do a story of Nisha to cheat death and come back)

I liked the promo videos for BL3 but I think they missed a trick not doing more stuff where they talk to each other and establish dynamics
