You can't rely on RFC 1149: IP over Avian Carriers for dealing with conducting transactions with bitcoin or other cryptocurrency in a postapocalyptic world. Hoard something more useful if you're prepping for the downfall of society, dumbass. Banks will continue to exist in some form because in the event that society collapses, they will eventually re-establish and create their own currencies as stores of value, likely backed by gold or other valuables they have. Bitcoin is backed by the loving internet, which in the event of a dark ages level event would cease to exist. orange juche fucked around with this message at 02:20 on May 1, 2020 |

“Future global trade needs a super-sovereign currency system under which no single country has the power to freeze the international assets of another country,” is not something I would consider good for bitcoin, especially coming from China, because whatever currency is created to solve this problem, it sure as hell won't be bitcoin and it has the potential to replace bitcoin entirely for doing what it does but better No serious problem-solver is going to join onto some standard where there already is a bunch of shithead libertarian oligarchs like Tyler Winklevoss and its main claim to fame is selling drugs. They'll make their own, like Canadian banks were going to do years ago but then decided not to because those banks decided their already existing methods for digital payments worked better.

Enjoy your laughs while you can my friends, cause it ain't gonna last. I read up on some of the other coiners that came before me, and drat, you're lucky most of them are gone. I'm sure they'd be rubbing it in your faces if they were still here. Some of those guys were telling you to buy at like $300 and you laughed at them then, too. Even with me, imagine turning down ~180% gains over two months.

Someone who made a quarter mil by getting in and getting out at the right time and doing it right doesn't bother me. It's the true believer shitheads who insist btc is going to be some new world currency that are the jokes. I know that if I had gotten in when it was 60 cents I would've ended up with nothing, less than nothing, and there are many many separate different reasons why. But someone who played the system and did well for it even though the system sucks is not someone I'm gonna hate on.
