I had to suggest another nickname, and just typed in "Zzzzzz" so I could close the dialog. Is anyone else annoyed how inconsistently the special NPCs show up in town? CJ hasn't been around since the fishing tourney on the 11th of April. Redd hasnt been around since the he opened the ship. I wish I could just pay Nook miles to have Tom Nook get someone on the island guaranteed the next day.

We've not seen Redd since the first day, and only seen the shipwrecked bird and the ghost once each since week 1. Lief has been three times since last week! My wife put a Dodo code on Twitter just once, with a very specific "please take what you need and leave the rest for others" message. The first couple of people charged in and grabbed everything they could, the next couple took all our fruit (literally racing each other to trees & stealing fruit others shook down), and the one after that asked what we had for free and when we said nothing left but you're welcome as a visitor, pulled the head off every flower he could find and kept deliberately running up behind people trying to fish until we kicked him off the island. Goons might not be perfect, but the bar for average behaviour is set much higher.

I just asked wart jr how he is today and he said "I'm a bad motherfucker and i'm making a bamboo partition" so i'm like "alright, nice" -- come say hi and let him share his wisdom with you. Nook's still has unlimited coffee machines and Able's is selling bathrobes I've left some watering cans if you'd like to water the flowers up north near the museum! BGPBF

The game is really annoying with visitors moving in. Essentially you just need to talk to them over and over and over and keep playing games with them. Even if they say "I don't want to loving move in" you just need to play cards with them until they go "... aw, okay"

I commented on how these are the assholes that charge star fragments for entry fees, and half of Reddit came to defend him. Do people like being extorted by man children in a cutesy video game?

I've had CJ come over during a thunderstorm last week but he wasn't on the intro screen. I found him way back on my isolated part of the island. I saw Redd last night with 2 real ones and let a friend in to get the Mona Lisa. Strange part for me is that I've never had a meteor shower. Not announced at all! Random shooting starts sure but nothing like my friend's places. I know they get it at least 2x a month. I have lots of stars but it still hurts. I'll always look around your island checking every corner because they could be wandering there. At least Redd comes by boat and stays in one place. I wish they regulated special NPCs to stay on the plaza like they do for tourneys.

Celeste finally showed up for me last night. Only a weak-rear end shower, but it's better than nothing. Also, a balloon gave me an embroidered tank, which I thought would look cute on Fauna after taking a very quick look at it in my cooler. Turns out it's quite short, which I should've guessed from the name, and now my deer likes to sometimes walk around the island in lingerie.

I've had Celeste on my island four or five times and still haven't seen a single shower. I did however see three shooting stars randomly one day when Celeste wasn't on the island. Isabelle didn't mention it in her report that day either.

In my case it was not so much a shower as there were maybe 30 shooting stars in a 2 hour time span. I just left the game running with the camera pointed up and hit A whenever I heard the twinkle while watching YouTube.

Is there cap on number of star fragments you can get after a night of wishing on stars? And/or is there some smaller ratio than 1:1 fragment per wish? I feel like I wished on over 100 while visiting The Manticore's place last night, but idk got like maybe 20 fragments this morning. Thought I would be set for life.

The game *SHOULD* let me build an incline down here, right? I can't dig it any longer than 3 blocks without bumping into the bridge, however it still lets me dig a hole on the land above. https://i.imgur.com/3AAvSUM.png you never know with this game I just kinda wanna ask around so as I know what to expect, rather than waste 2 days demolishing and rebuilding the bridge. It looks like it fits the incline requirements, but it could also just go "That's too close to the bridge!!!!!!!!"
