If one of her girlfriends said it to her she would think it was hilarious, because she would be Extremely Drunk at the time, guaranteed. 2. If my grandfather has said oval office to or near her she would have thought it was charming, because he was Scottish snd she loves things said with British\British adjacent accents, regardless of parsability or content. 3. If I said oval office around her the joke better be really funny, or I'd better be sharing an anecdote about what my grandfather yelled at a rabbit once (with my best attempt at an accent, for cushioning). Otherwise I'd probably get an "Excuse me?" at best. I dunno about at worst. I don't want to find out. 4. If an American stranger said oval office to her she might stab them with a knife. oval office's just so complex here... I will have four large Chocolate Frostys and a small fry.

Yeah the C-word is the omega curse word. Nothing beats it, so it must be saved for special usage. British English has to have an equivalently bad word that just shocks people to the core. Knobber, maybe?
