I was 50/50 on ordering the show because I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $50 on a no-fans PPV, but I turned on Sirius to listen to Mandatory Metallica while I knocked out some tournaments in Everybody's Golf, and lo and behold, Jericho was hosting a countdown of his top 10 Metallica songs. I'm taking that as a sign from the universe that I'm meant to watch tonight.

One of the things that struck me watching the Stadium Stampede promo package is how even handed the storytelling seems. The Inner Circle didn't come across as heels, the Elite didn't come across as faces. Instead they came across as rivals, and that is a much more interesting story to me. In fact, if anything, the Inner Circle came across as more noble (and certainly more loyal to each other) than the Elite. Part of this is good nuanced storytelling, but part of this is that Santana is a HUGE babyface who just doesn't know it. He talks about the Inner Circle like they're his family and he's devoted to them, and I can't listen to him without thinking "yes, this is a great guy, and he's absolutely right".
