Seconding Plex. They just introduced a synchronized play feature so your videos will start for everyone at the same time. Edit: Warning about Plex though. If someone is trying to watch on a phone/tablet they will need to upgrade from the free version.

Video syncs for everyone according to my control, it's got integration with a bunch of other streaming sites, and native video chat if that's your thing.
