Generally with punk I'm not a big fan of when bands clean up their sound, but the later Millencolin stuff slaps too IMO

Also I'm gonna end up dodging some bricks and beer glasses for this one but gently caress it, middle-period AFI was/is awesome:

Remember when AFI tried to go major label and released some loving whiny teen poo poo when they were like 35 and no one loving bought it and they totally looked like the total lame-o's they are. It was magnificent.

There was one that was very whiny but also had kind of a weird psychobilly vibe to it (Crash Love) that I thought had some decent songs, but everything after that, yeah, agreed.

To be fair, AFI appealed to me a lot when I was a teen but now that I'm older I find that's where AFI belongs. In my teens.

Luxury Problem, by and large, is probably their best album in general but I love the song Jan Brady. It resonates for me despite it being a song from right after I was born written about a show made in the 70's.

Shut up, Nick! You're not Twilight.
What are some of the threads all time favorite albums? I still listen to London Calling pretty routinely even though that feels kind of cliche, and I know its not really an album but a compilation but No Thanks! The 70s Punk Rebellion is probably one of the best single punk rock things ever.

And has anyone posted something by The Buzzcocks yet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G8tTjSrm3g

I saw those guys play live a long time ago at a club that probably no longer exists. They had Bowling For Soup open for them, which was kind of confusing but they put on an awesome show. For some reason I never listened to much of their music though. Looks like its time to fix that.

As an avocado toast-eating millennial child of the Internet, much of my music has always been obtained digitally rather than physically, and as a consequence I never much cared about the album format.

Of the ones that I actually own physically, and if it counts as an album, my most prized CD is probably the Minor Threat discography. I got it when I was at college. It took a few listens before I really started appreciating them, but now they're one of my favorite bands. Just forty minutes of delicious American early hardcore, perfectly suited to the energy and angst that are constantly coursing through me.

One of my other favorites is Donde Se Habla, La Polla Records's weird animal-themed concept album from 1988.

I have no idea what prompted them to make this, and my Spanish is middling at best, but I love it.

Check out my TFLC Excuse Log!
Once I was really excited about a stack of vinyl I bought for my radio show, and it had been a while since I owned any records. I left them in my car during the day since my show was at night. It was a hot day.

I don’t listen to much music these days unless it’s in a video game, because it distracts me too much when I’m working. the latest band I like is ghost and maybe they’ll do a punk album, that would rule.
