I hate it if the drum is drilled, I absolutely love it if the drum was just painted with tiny dots. I would expect that on a LeMons corolla.

That "rotor" looks like a pizza pan

I bet the actual brakes are behind the pan

That is an interesting picture. The more you look at it, the less horrible it becomes.

I like how the "caliper" is mounted to the control arm so it will flap around relative to the "rotor" as the suspension cycles.

Anyone vain enough to run those rims and enter a car show is going to have some kind of automated hydraulic jack system to lift each tire in turn so they can manually rotate it to the right spot.

I'm surprised there isn't some wonderful French car with single spoke wheels. On a different note, the new Road & Track has a decent article on how GM blew it with the Blackwing TT V8. It's pretty much what you'd guess--GM beancounters, poor Cadillac sales, the general decline of the sedan market, and de Nysschen's poor relationship with the brass--but it's a nice thorough look at the project and its demise.

Taught me a lot about modern cars and electronic parking brakes. Also having to put little clear pieces of 1/2 inch plexi under each of the wheels cause they didn't want them sunk into the carpet all the cars were setup on. Thank god I just worked a single booth. What kind of car is it anyway, a MK4 Golf? A good place to put all those Porsche badges and "Porsche" calipers - afaik Porsches being generally RWD cars have their front calipers on the "rear" side of the wheel, not the front.
