water seven/enies lobby and everything involved is legit one of my favorite arcs of anything. it's such a magnificent storyline. tons of action, tons of amazing character moments, heartbreaking flashbacks, fantastic character designs, dramatic tension, a loving rocket-powered train, a brilliant breakout, one of the most comically hateable villains in the entire series, it's got it all

I just saw this video about queer (mostly focusing on gay male) representation in film and television and thought it was pretty interesting; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8DRQ9-sCSI I'm pretty sure I saw another of this guy's videos linked in this thread earlier - probably "Monsters in the Closet" which is about horror and LGBT representation/coding. I definitely appreciate the film history dives included in these videos so hopefully other people do too.

I believe Dom's job is also being a critic which is a nice change from people who just call themselves that. As a recommendation I'd put forward Good Bad Flicks, where Cecil explores terrible shlock movies he unironically loves. He also does deep dives on some movies who had to suffer under the weight of studio interference like the second Blair Witch sequel which honestly sounds like it would have been fine or even good if the director wasn't told 'make it more like the other thing.' Also to help with cleanup Four Star Bento's not active anymore. It just didn't pull its weight unfortunately.

One Piece at this stage isn't even really a battle shounen in my eyes anymore. Fights are not really the draw any more, so I'm not mad when people don't get fights like I would have been back in the earlier stuff. It'd be nice to see Robin get more to do, because she's one of my favorite characters, but I feel like she's had a few interesting things to do in the beginning of Wano so eh
