I think it's easier to imagine Mitchell improving over the next few years into a top ten player in the league than it is for Gobert, already 28, to improve to that level. So if you have to move one then it'd be Gobert, especially since he is the more expensive player.

The Pacers have done just fine without him the last two years, which makes the decision much more difficult. Considering the timing they should let him play the last year out, lots of free agents in 2021.
