Honestly, the biggest eureka moment EA has had in like a decade was when they made a Star Wars game with no microtransactions, no multiplayer 'game as service' element and no DLC and... it was successful. Like, the idea of 'make game, sell game, profit' is now a novelty.

Thing is it really is everythings built around dlc and getting a fiver for a few skins or a couple of different clothes for your virtual dude/dudette. Its something you can ignore and ive only bought like full blown dlc packs that add actual content for games i really like but still any sports game now its all about trying to figure out how to dlc it. Card games or cosmetics seem to be the best way.

i unfairly judge every old game that i've never played before due to being rude and ignoring the limitations and expectations of games from their era. but also, when i gave it a shot i found myself untouchable or unable to stop the assault on me with nothing in-between, both with less influence on my part than i'd like. not that i prefer 'hurt your hand' style button mashing ala royal rumble or wwf raw to the precise timing of this game but i think because of the barebones features, a deeper combat system compared to a couple of games that preceded it would have been cool. it wasn't accurate to say 'it's not any good' because it's a nice looking and technically well-crafted game that is probably pretty fun with friends and likely gets better the more time you spend with it. i'm a goblin scoundrel e: it seems like i would be interested in tracking down a translation for ZNPW Budokan. lemme know more about your exp with natsume wrestling if you ever feel like it Cavauro fucked around with this message at 23:08 on Jul 15, 2020 |
