I've considered making a Ra/Gu point blank launcher build for fun, but then I play Lillipa Ultimate and remember why I stick to ranged combat. I love the idea of a point blank launcher specialist though. Like a Grammaton Cleric but with a big anime cannon :allears:

Weird but on-brand for PSO2. I figured the photoners were supposed to be the great light, same as the ancients in PSU.

PSO2 has done quite a few things that are slightly different from previous PS games, and I'm actually happy about that.

I'm kind of curious if the explanation for the connection between NGS and PSO2 is going to be that the Guardian winds up going into cryo for a thousand years to help purge the enormous amount of bad mojo they soak up after beating Profound Darkness.

That's what we did for Ep3>4 so it'd be silly to go back to that well again.

I was expecting a long-ish fight and it was maybe 10 minutes because Super Hard fights get smashed by groups these days it seems.

Cool fight though.

Snagging this from my pinned:

ATTENTION: Do not start Phantasy Star Online 2 on a new platform until you fully understand this account-linking process. Creating a character/setting up a Player ID on a new platform is irreversible and you will not be able to link your account after the fact.

Or what's going to happen when they try to unlink the Microsoft account when they link it to Steam.

The big bold letters of "DON'T DO THIS TO YOUR ORIGINAL PLATFORM" makes me think that it'll end in a purge of account data lol. Christ this is all built on pick-up sticks.

It doesn't unlink the Microsoft account at all does it? I thought it linked your Steam and PSO2/XBL accounts so you'd be able to go between Steam, Windows Store, and Xbone.

There's also an option to "unlink" your account, by which they mean "erase the original account and leave the steam one intact". or vice-versa if you started on steam and want to go the other direction for, uh, some reason

So you should still be able to delete the windows store install after transferring to steam, you just have to leave your account linked to it. I don't care as long as I can just do everything through steam from here on out.

The unlink specifically doesn't work on the original platform you began playing on. So if you started on the Windows Store and moved to Steam, you could later unlink the Steam version, but you can never unlink the Windows store because it's the primary.

Also almost every button with text has it run outside the button, tutorial text regularly overflows outside its bounds into the nether so you can't even read half of it. It's a fuckin' slap job, mate.

The last time I played anything phantasy star was when I played the Dreamcast original phantasy star online for a couple hours before I realized that I need to have access to an internet connection to my Dreamcast to play the game properly with other people, I knew it was an RPG but the ‘MMO’ part was lost on my little brain. An online line exclusive to my Dreamcast which in the year 2000 in Saudi Arabia was not gonna loving happen lol.

Yeah, ship 2. Maybe stay away from block 69 even though it's pretty populated. The symbol art in this game is elaborate and the people there are pretty unrestrained.

I updated my Windows store install, and even on that it throws up a message before even getting to start game explaining account linking and how important it is to get it right. Ships are down, of course.
