I don't disagree with you, but take a two month flier on this and think about it later.

I'm the dumbest motherfucker imaginable and I'm not attractive at all and I've never run out of people who want to gently caress me. It's nice to have people in your life. Don't let a bad experience (lol yeah, I know what you're going to say to this) ruin your relationship with other human beings in the future.

I've done a lot of dumb poo poo in my life, and I've always been picked up off the ground when I've figured things out again.

they had one about premade sandwiches, you know the really awful ones you'd find for sale in the shittiest gas station convenience stores. there was very little automation, almost all the work was done by people, and they were the most miserable looking people i've ever seen. it's not surprising, i'd look dead in the eyes, too if all i did was place a slice of processed cheesefood on to sandwiches for 8 hours a day. there was just something particularly bad about this specific segment.

i suspect it may have been prison labor

shocking large portions of your brain are mostly adapted for:
- communicating with humans
- estimating the trajectories of objects and then coordinating movements of your body with those trajectories

my knowledge of neuroscience is somewhere between ted talk and pop science book on a scale from zero to neuroscientist doing proper stats, so this is probably wrong

anyway if you don't move and talk to humans you're probably going to get all lovely. you might get lovely anyway but doing those things can't hurt.

I bitch a lot about other people but I genuinely enjoy meeting and talking to people and the people I bitch about might be 10% of those I meet.

that checks out. when we as a civilization stopped needing to throw spears and shoot bows at poo poo in order to be able to eat every night we started tossing stuff at each other and catching while running around so our brains could still throw spears and shoot bows at poo poo if we needed to.

i first heard this joke when i was like 12 but it was the difference between a pizza and a black man and even as a 12 year old in the 90s it made me feel bad.

i get that it is a joke about the cleveland browns but the demographics of the NFL and my awareness of the original joke make this version uncomfortable to me.

I scheduled a big meeting with like 12 people on tuesday, or wednesday cant remember, to go over as a group my runbook of steps for how I'm going carry out a non trivial migration.

It's all scripted out with exact commands to be copy and pasted in order the day of the cutover. I've already ran it through with somebody else on my team - its a well-understood procedure even if its ridiculously widely scoped and potentially impacting.

Feeling a lot of dread for this meeting now. Didn't think much about it until just now when I looked at the clock and saw that its somehow 8pm on a sunday.
