It's not going as well as they want but it's still destroying workers rights. That is truly the goal of it all and why they have said billions.

There has to be a way to convince the rich that you're setting up some sort of scheme to destroy workers rights and crush unions, and trick them into accidentally providing affordable public transit. Like make a company and be like "yeah, it's just like Musks' stupid loving car tube thing, but it can carry 100x the people, we're going to beat him to market, and charge nothing for the service until.he's out of business" Then like 15 years later, after there's a subway in every major city you're like "oops, I lost all your money, guess we'll have to go bankrupt and cede all our assets to local governments"

I've never been able to figure this out, so, if I really hate ride-sharing apps and want them to fail, should I boycott them or use them as much as possible?

I would say use a taxi when you can, and no one will judge you when uber or lyft is cheaper or easier. Edit: whatever you use, tip in cash.

In their defense, they also innovated the concept of "what if we just don't follow any of the laws?" While some might say, "This is just the Al Capone business strategy," the remarkable innovation is that while this strategy almost always makes money, they've managed to still be wildly unprofitable in spite of it.

Pfft. I did that with Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend years ago. A far superior song. Edit: I'm not bitter in the slightest, obviously, but from a ~craftsmanship~ point, going through all that effort and then just giving away the song in question in your "read back from here" tweet is a real wasted opportunity. It legit feels like Tony Hawk doing some sort of sick skating business only to end up landing slap drat on his chin and saying "butts". Flint_Paper has a new favorite as of 18:40 on Aug 13, 2020 |
