like i have a coworkers from the netherlands who argues with the people in the tax office and then complains about how backwards chinese people are re: the way the tax paperwork he was trying to fill out works ("they dont understand how this kind of thing should work"). knowing him he's probably spending hours telling them how taxes should work which is why it takes him hours to get anything done there and it takes me 10 minutes. that guy is being racist.

chinese racism seems to be more of the kind where you make unfounded assumptions and generalizations about people based on pure ignorance. not an active ignorance like chuds but ignorance in the sense that most of them have never even seen a foreign person irl and media and news is generally very inward focused the generalizations can be positive too, like a lot of chinese people say “jews are all really smart and good at making money” or whatever
