I tried uploading Shiozaki vs Kenoh to Youtube just so people see it because oh my god I want to talk about this match so much, but my upload speed is prehistoric & it's not even 1/4 of the way through so I guess I'll just leave it over night & post it in the morning for people who don't want to deal with Abema. It's just been going round & round in my head all day & I'm going to rewatch it tomorrow. Sure, I could actually make some headway into King of DDT but instead I just want to watch that dragon suplex tease again.

Has Sakuraba been decent in NOAH? My only memories of him are his banger vs Nakamura at WK7 and the poo poo with the Gracies in 2014. Is he getting even close to approaching Sugiura's level or is he still kind of awkward in the ring?

He's not really done anything blow away, he's definitely no Sugiura (but not many are) but I enjoy his grappling & he's only had the one singles match in this NOAH run (against Inamura on the Sugiura-gun vs Kongo show in May) so I'm kind of interested to see how he looks in the N1. Steady hand, really just a bit-part player but it's a fun part & he fits it well.

I'm watching the 2AW show that was shown on SamuraiTV yesterday and while the match is fun, seeing El Lindaman and T-Hawk against Tank Nagai and Kotaro Yoshino I can't help wondering if they regret leaving DG with CIMA. OWE seems to be just another Japanese indie at this point from the early intrigue and promise, Wrestle 1 is dead, and the rest is just picking up dates with DDT, BJW, Zero1, 2AW and some international dates in America and Mexico whenever international travel can happen. Meanwhile their ANTIAS stablemate Eita and Ben K have both held the Dream Gate, Takagi is obviously wowing the world in New Japan. And here's Stronghearts losing to Tank Nagai in front of 250 people in Korakuen. But maybe they are happy. Hope so. Unrelated, but Ayumu Honda's look is bad even by the standards of indie guys, a special mix of short, extremely pale and pudgy. The dadbod doesn't seem as bad on Kengo Mashimo or Tank Nagai or Taishi Takizawa because they are tanned and also just look older and fit the dadbod more. And Nagai and Mashimo are kind of more beef large tha pudgy. Just watched the ZERO1 Title match from the 2nd and it's the first I've seen since Hino vs Sato. Has every Chris Vice title match ended up full of as much interference as a Bullet Club title match? Because it was a decent match until the Voodoo Murders nonsense.

He'd definitely be in Japan in some role. Guy loves Japanese wrestling so much that he'd come over here just to watch shows on his vacation time from NXT. I met him at Takayamania Empire, he's super nice.

I think he's outright said that the only place he'd work in Japan would be NOAH but plenty of people say things like that plus they've gone through... three ownership changes since he was last there I think (the group of owners that had New Japan involved-Estbee-Lidet-Cyberagent) so perhaps while he thinks that, the new people in NOAH might not be interested. Plus who knows; New Japan throwing money at you might change anyone's mind. Although without COVID he'd probably be working NXT UK still or the Largo loop, if we're honest with ourselves.

Hayato Tamura of JUST TAP OUT won the ZERO1 world title today less than a year into his career. He's clearly got a lot of eyes on him, Daisuke Sekimoto gave him a lot of effort in their recent tag match which Tamura won by defeating a BJW young boy who is his senior leading to a Sekimoto's singles match at Korakuen Hall next week. TAKA said that Tamura will soon surpass Kazuchika Okada. So that's a name to remember
