I liked the Ant Man movies. They were a nice break/palate cleanser from all the "No! The Garglefartkins are going to super-destroy all of the the multiverses!" With Ant Man the stakes are high, but limited and more personal. "We'll lose my mom forever." "I need to keep my business open and stay out of prison." "If I don't get the cure, I'll literally disintegrate." "If I don't get that lab, some scary-rear end folks are gonna serve me as dinner in my own restaurant." Those are good stakes because they're high for the people involved but still aren't "If we don't stop Walter Goggins, he's kill half the universe." Which is a nice break.
