The computer seems to have to handle the load of animating the avatars, though - some of the more famous potato PC havers like Watame and Polka have had to disable their avatars and put up stills on streams in the past to avoid having things grind to a halt.

Yeah I didn't see a video card on the F3 screen in Minecraft, I might have missed it but it couldn't have been very beefy based on the performance we saw.

It was an AMD RX 580, which is definitely an older, out of date card but not a complete piece of poo poo. It's roughly on par with a 970, which can very easily handle streaming minecraft in normal circumstances. Based on the machine hitching and freezing up constantly I'm going to bet it was a RAM problem.

 honestly this seems completely fine unless it has like 4gb of ram. it's way better than a lot of other hololive streamers laptops. the weakest link is the cpu but even that isn't terrible. roughly equiv to a i5 7500 definitely something else going on there, oh well. sucks she had so many issues.

Kiara's tale of three PCs: PC two is the one she's mostly been streaming from. It's at her new place that doesn't currently have internet. It's a rental, and has been working fine. PC three is the manager's PC that she was using today. They'll be picking PC two up tomorrow and using it for future streams until internet is up at her place. PC one is Kiara's actual PC. It's back at her previous old place and is her actual gaming PC. She really likes it and misses it, because she didn't want it to break while flying when she first moved. She'll have it again in about five months.
