One of the things they talked about on the recent Behind the Bastards on Jorp is that when he first taught at UoT his classes were packed and most of the students loved him and his lectures. But here's the thing: they were always this disjointed soup of in the style of his lobster bullshit. In essence: he was loved by children for telling fun stories that made no sense. And faculty bought into this.
