If you have a Kroger/King Soopers, they sell a packaged lox trim that is 1/2 to a 1/4 the price of the nice looking lox. It tastes as good, I actually like it more than the regular slices.

I’m going to consider these apple turnovers breakfast because one looks like a Poptart. My wife was making these and the pastry dough wasn’t cooperating. So I panicked and did the one thing i could think of... make a big ravioli. The others came out better after the dough moistened up a bit.

 Put a new egg-safe seasoning on a cast iron bakestone (and tested my fire alarm whilst at it!) and tried out my new enamel kettle, both good! Yolks were a little overdone, but still runny in the middle.

Closest I came to visiting London was a four hour layover at Heathrow last year. I figured I’d make the best of it and head to one of the nicer looking restaurants in there for a nice English breakfast. Got to say I was very happy. It was exactly what I was picturing and they even threw in some black pudding on the side. Maybe one day I’ll be able to visit the UK beyond just the airport.

Got a chance to swing by the Asian market yesterday and I grabbed a load of great stuff including some kimchi. Woke up this morning and made a Kimchi omelette with a sweet sriracha glaze. Best omelette I’ve made in a while!
