A content spanning medieval war could have easily lasted five or more years. The Wars of the Rose's lasted 32 years. He didn't need a time jump he just needed to acknowledge the passage of time in the text and everyone could have been as old as needed.

). Dany was always going to be a really lovely queen (see Meereen), and Bran/Bloodraven becoming king is interesting as hell. Westeros would get an all-seeing, basically immortal god-king without knowing it. That would be cool as gently caress.

It’ll be just like the show. He’ll become the time toucher and does nothing besides being bait for Mr. Freeze. Then just defaults to king cause why not?

I think it'll be alright. They'll have more oversight of the project simply because of all the bad press they got from the end of the original series. My bet is it won't be as good as the first three seasons, but will be better than what we got post season 4.

I only read the books after season 3 of the show so while reading I automatically assigned the kids their TV show age, which makes a lot more sense
