remember Bellator's Featherweight GP? the weird one where the champ actually participated and defended his belt throughout? you probably don't, because it got totally screwed up by the 'rona, but they've finally got it back up and running and thus Thursday's card should be pretty fun. Patricio Pitbull Freire, said champ, is going against Pedro Carvalho in a title fight, with Emmanuel Sanchez vs Daniel Weichel being the co-main and the other QF matchup. next week's the first semifinal of the tournament, AJ McKee vs Darion Caldwell.

Yeah so all of this is confusing. It feels like the PFL is in deep poo poo right now having cancelled all events and I think they're getting sued by someone aren't they? I'm not sure what the status of any of that is anymore, I haven't heard them actually announce new shows. Bellator is still putting on events somewhat regularly, but Fedor hasn't fought since last year, he gave an interview right after his last fight in Japan saying he's doing a retirement tour wanting to do 1 fight in Japan (done), one in the US and one in Russia. I don't think Fedor will fight without a crowd present.

I know a few converts from Rhonda and from McGregor but the average joe doesn't know what Bellator is and I've never been asked about it. I'll get asked by everyone I work with about McGregor when he has a fight coming up but I've never even been asked what Bellator is.
