I've posted this earlier but peterson just engages in motte and bailey arguments. you put forth a radical argument, then when someone challenges you on that point, you retreat to something mundane no one disagrees with, hence who internalize all of that and come out thinking "jorp just believes <moderate belief no one would disagree with>, what's the big deal!" like the poster above.

Turns out most people had absolutely no idea about anything more than "self-help guru who wrote a book", and were incredibly surprised to hear the transphobic garbage and the "What are women? We just don't know!" poo poo. Even the Californian who tried to argue with me in the Jameson distillery that Canadian healthcare is garbage was surprised to hear that poo poo.
