I think my smart meter is broken, or I’m involved in some sort of massive scam. Meter ticks down exactly the same no matter what I do. I have three freezers running and it’s still exactly the same as it was with 1.

£2.5k a year you're looking at if that was all year. Which it won't presumably. I'm likely at about £1.8k a year in this place. It's a poo poo house, quite large I guess, air source heat pump, no oil or gas and electric car charger. £4.85 today. It's cold. I'm not normal. That's like three times a normal house maybe. Something's wrong at yours. Or your maths.

I didn't want to take time off so I didn't have to come back to more work, but looks like I've shot myself in the foot with that one

Just did a 12 hour shift, called my boss asking for more resources as its december and shits starting to look pretty hairy and got met with 'hmmm cost to the business hmmm' Then again we'll probably just go into tier 3 and the problem will sort itself out

My boss is currently wanting more info on why a load of 10+ year old networking kit needs replacing... Some of it is 100mb for fucks sake! We had a bit of a disaster back in august when some stuff blew up during a power failure, I would have thought that would speak for itself but apparently not. We are now on version 3 of the proposal & fully expect to start on v4 next week.

The firmware is outdated and they are out of the support period, and just by being there they represent a serious security threat to the company that could result in a major data breach or ransomware attack.
