He sort of makes this face like he’s guessing or unsure of his answer a lot even though it seems like he’s pretty solid all-around. I’m not sure if he’s just being careful or he’s nervous or what. I mostly like players who are good at the game regardless of their personality though so I’ve warmed up to him a lot.

I also suspect he needs glasses or contacts and isn’t wearing them, that’s exactly how I look when I try to do the same thing (I have a very mild prescription of -1.25 in each eye). If I hadn’t been warned ahead of time that the screen you’re reading the clues off is tiny I might not have taken my contacts and I’d have looked the same.

I mean, Alex Jacob wasn't exactly captain charisma (or even a snappy dresser), but it was still entertaining to watch him play. I actually get slightly more annoyed by contestants like Austin Rogers who are skilled but get a little carried away with the high-energy antics.

“What is Aleve?” is one of the funniest joke answers I’ve seen on Jeopardy. I guess it won’t hold up in the future out of context but after months of the promotion it was the most amazing reveal. Throwback episode tonight was nice, I wasn’t expecting to see Ken. I mostly like seeing all the old set design and stuff though.
