Been playing on Very Hard for a little bit, after 80 hours playing on normal, and like with this Tranq arm cannon, everything is crazy easy. One shot puts people to sleep, any shot after that they die, you get double the XP for it. But just in general I'm really surprised because I was kind of struggling before, but this weapon and my new quickhacks like the grenade and suicide (which spreads), it just makes everything a joke.

I just realized though that you don't get basic XP for those quickhack kills...which is lame but makes kind of sense since they're killing themselves.

Just started up a new character, gonna focus on hacking. Are there any great quick hacks I can get right out the gate? Short circuit takes like 4-6 casts to kill right now.

Synapse Burnout does more damage if target is already missing health, so I went Short Circuit -> Synapse in the beginning.

Short Circuit doesn't alarm them much, so it's also nice to set up stealth headshot kills with silenced pistols which were pretty weak in the beginning.

Contagion is amazing later on, but was a bit weak before getting the +spread range/count perks. The base damage is pretty low too in the beginning but one of its upgrade levels make it scale the damage for every jump between targets and it starts to clear out levels by itself by the time you're up to Epic.

E: The best early deck was the Arasaka Mk.3 you can get as soon as you finish the heist. Has no SC requirement, so it's great to get an Epic deck right away. E2: I suggest rushing the heist to get Johnny and then bee-lining for this, the 8/7/5 stats are great to have right away and other Epics aren't available till SC 11.

At SC 11, Viktor had the Stephenson Mk.3, great stats for using quickhacks a lot. Epic.

At SC 14, the Legendary Raven mk.4 comes available at the ripper just SW of Kabuki Plaza.

The Rippler is at SC 29.

Overheat and Short circuit are going to be your bread and butter at the start. What you want to focus on more than those, though, is breaching. You want to grab Mass Vulnerability (and every perk that makes it better) ASAP. It makes your hacks actually do real damage. Then grab the perk that reduce hack costs (also a breach) and give ram back when you get kills with them. It starts slow but it very quickly gets out of control. Once you can grab contagion and buff it with crits, you win the game. But right at the start a breach + overheat will almost kill anything no problem.

If you hang in Watson and do poo poo prior to the Heist you could work up enough funds to pay off the debt from Vik and buy one of the epic cyberdeck he has which has like 8-9 ram and good effects tied to it. From there on you basically work your way up the quickhack tree until you can craft epic/legendary hacks.

Early on I much preferred the crowd control quickhacks to the damage quickhacks. Weapon Glitch and Reboot Optics are both great for creating opportunities to attack aggressively, even in their low-rarity versions.

Disable movement is situational, but ideal for delaying a melee enemy or pinning the Sandevistan nerds in place.

Almost finished all the gigs. It's nice to go ham with a legendary shotgun instead of using stealth or pistols. Grenades are useful if not to do damage, to knock people on the ground. I'm going to end up with 300K in the bank.

My current look:

Not all the weapons in shop are bad, a club with 3 slots and 1722dps for 78K € isn't that bad. Highest dps I've seen in my game. It's stuff that cost 250K € with average damage that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Reboot Optics is great. Use it on all psychos before meleeing them. Also use it when going in loud for a change as with the spread it buys a lot of time to kill stuff.

Never thought of using disable movement on the Sandevistans, cool idea. There was an earlyish psycho with that and gorilla arms + heat mod where that would've rocked. Took me several tries as a glass cannon hacker build as it is.

I just read that in the german version, pedo BD peddler dad is voiced by one of the biggest streamers here, Gronkh.
Which is weird, because he is one of the nicest dudes on stream.
Saw his real name scroll by during the credits and had to check.

I can see how "I was the voice actor for one of the characters in Cyberpunk 2077" - "Oh cool, which one?" can get really awkward here.

The son is also a german streamer, but frankly I have never heard of him.

I managed to finish the game as well. Probably gonna do a few more side quests afterwards.

But for now: I got The Star ending, meaning I called Panam for help, rolled in with the Aldecaldos, sent Smasher some regards from Johnny and rode off into the sunset.

The ending was bittersweet in the sense you're "given" 6 months to live, but you know, who's to say you won't defy the odds again? At least that's how I took it from everyone's comments.

The ending postcards were pretty weird though, Mitch and Panam almost talked about me like I was somewhere far away and Takemura told me to burn in hell :( I guess he didn't like my plan. What was I to do?? After all I went through for that grumpy japanese guy.

From what I gather the other endings were a lot more sad, so as a big softy I won't be even looking at those.

If you've already got a bunch of Epics and Legendary hacks, you can skip the +mats perk. I had enough to get almost every hack to Epic and 3 to Legendary without that perk. Rest I'm leveling up as I get the mats, only about 3-4 hacks have amazing Legendary passives looks like so no need to upgrade all of them right away.

It's the Epic materials you run out of not Legendary, so if you're selective in using those when upgrading, that should be good enough.

You can only get quickhack mats from access points

You can only craft quickhacks except for sometimes the rare high powered ones drop from Netrunners and you can take perks to make them drop from access points

Once you perk into “craft rare/epic/legendary” quickhacks, you just get all of the recipes automatically

So if you just level up hacking at a certain point you can just automatically unlock everything

All right! I finished game. Got an ending? I'll have to process things before I can really put my thoughts down HOWEVER quick ending related thing: Holy poo poo game went third person for this moment and it was loving great! I would have love to seen more cutscenes like this throughout the game. Seeing my character talk and interact without me having to fumble looking around and poo poo was cool

Also another ending question: I went with storming Arasaka with the Aldecaldos then decided to keep my body so we left. What ending is that? I'm trying to get a feel the ending variations are a form of:

1-2: Go with Arasaka gal, pick yourself or johnny
3-4: Same but aldecaldos?
5: super secret johnny ending?

It is very funny, I just started Act 3, and Cyberpunk is almost impressive in how it’s barely held together with twine and scotch tape, even on a relatively powerful PC (16GB RAM, 1080Ti, i7 Quadcore) - like the biggest issue I can see is that it has all these moving parts that can’t seem to pull certain commands, for example I had a story sequence that faded into a flashback sequence, which had its own background rock jingle which needs a start event trigger and an end event trigger to start/stop playing.

I get to the end of the flashback and into modern day, and the loving rock jingle is still playing, even at the end of the story bit and I’m kicked back up to the open world. Like the looping jingle just never got it’s end trigger to stop playing, and the only fix is to save & quit out and then reload the save.

The other funny part is that if you drive fast enough through the world it simply stops loading up pedestrians and traffic cars. which is a convenience if you’re in a hurry, but it’s definitely immersion breaking. And again, the game is simply not getting told to load in those cars and people, for whatever reason.

None of it really seems all that unfixable, but considering what a wreck it is, and how much planned content they cut to rush the game out, I hope they bother putting that stuff back in before making GBS threads out paid DLC expansions. I doubt they will, but it’d be nice to see cyberpunk realize it’s potential, because there are some great bits in it.

Also my 20k-50k revolver that evaporates skulls with a single shot is the funniest poo poo in the world.

Quickhack crafting is a weird addition. Blowing 4 perks to level up a small set of quickhacks once each seems like a waste. I rolled back to an earlier save when I realized I can buy Rare hacks, having taken the perk not knowing.

E: But I have yet to get any hacks higher than Rare without crafting so the Epic/Legendary perks are worth it.
