I don't even watch them with the movie I listen to them like podcasts. They usually go off on tangents anyway.

Did you know there was an American Psycho sequel with Mila Kunis and Will Shatner? I've learned this just now. I'm glad they did it as a low budget direct-to-video movie 18 years ago that everyone hated, or we'd be having a try-hard Netflix original sequel now.

The Rules of Attraction was kind of an American Psycho spin off about his brother. They tried to get Christian Bale for a single scene but he turned it down so they cast Casper Van Dien and then very wisely threw the scene out. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dEZLtgiAJVI

The movie shares a song with the David Cage game Omikron Nomad Soul (Something in the Air by David Bowie)

Just listen to them all. I wish there were more. The bad movies have more jokes and good movies have more movie speak.

It always felt to me that Dougie-Coup aimlessly wandering through the plot from one lucky happenstance to another miraculous escape from danger was among other things Lynch himself. Out of his element with modern TV, he hits the jackpot with Showtime, and on pure intuition and the good of others guiding him through the whole ordeal, he manages to become his former self again and attempt to combat the darkness that has permeated entertainment.

The last ep of TP The Return with Coop in the real-world is the best ep of TV ever made imo. That scene in the diner where he disarms the dudes is unreal, Kyle Maclachlan was so good

Odessa, TX, where Coop finds Laura in the pocket universe, is home irl to a statue that it claims as “the world’s largest jackrabbit.” Coincidence?

I still can't tell whether I'm giving David Lynch to much credit for thinking the bad CGI was a conscious choice, especially when the show also has very good CGI. Either way, it really elevates things. E: Oh they talk about it in the video lol Mordja fucked around with this message at 17:08 on Jan 9, 2021 |
