In Norway there's estimated that there's literally tens of thousands mines along the coast. In the northern parts of Norway it's not recommended to start a fire on a spot that hasn't been marked because you could...explode. All in all it's believed that there's a thousand ton of undetonated explosives in Norway.

Then you have Zone Rouge in France where it's so many unexploded bombs that it is forbidden to enter it. Some parts of Zone Rouge is so polluted from the war that nothing can grow there.

What's on your mind, Axa?

This is one I never really understood until this thread. It always stuck with me because the newspaper growing up didn't have Mark Trail, and I remember asking my grandma to explain it but I guess she was only vaguely aware of Mark Trail herself since I think her answer was something like "it's another comic."

The entire "plot" this week is Ed's wife asking if she looks fat. If that doesn't make it a safe space for calling out Ed on his hypocrisy, I don't know what to tell you.

Ok, I've had enough and have to ask: why the hell does De Paul keep dropping "trusted man" into almost every strip? Is he really that proud of the name? If so, someone needs to tell him it's a really rubbish name if you want your character to seem badass.

Just gently caress the robot already, Axa. We know you want to.

It's also funny that despite trying to present herself as a hardened survivalist who threw away the Dome's comforts, Axa's been nonstop commenting how hard it is to deal with poo poo in this storyline. And now that she's seen the inside of the swamp city, she's sided with them 100%. No hint of suspicion on what the swamp scientists want with the others, not even curious why the cave people would rather deal with dinosaurs or anything.

In the hands of a competent writer, this would be the point where the kids in the classroom are completely fed up with the new kid constantly meddling with their routine and the new kid learns to chill out or something.
