One thing our local fascist who ran against Coons was good at was signs. This was probably the best and funniest political sign I've ever seen.

What did that sign say, I can't tell in the "pic taken with an old scratched up lense disposable camera" shot

I know the answer to my next question is just "democrats"

But what is their pretend reason for keeping Louis Dejoy and the whole postal board of Trump appointees on and continuing to let them dismantle the post office

The post office service is the only reason enough people are able to vote and elect democrats. Once the post office doesn't work and mail in voting doesn't work then republicans win every time, which again would supposedly be a problem for the democrats
The Postmaster General isn't the same as other cabinet appointees, and is a little harder to get rid of. But, I think you could do it by getting rid of the Postal Governors then removing him. That's how I understand it.

I assume the reason is :effort: and they don't care.

It's just Lauren, the Nazi, looking really good with a big "VS" Coons in a literal pussyhat, looking like a cuck.

Lauren is a white nationalist who was in DC on the 6th. But she made a good sign!

the board of governors can fire the postmaster general and biden can fire the governors and appoint new ones that will fire dejoy. the reason he isn't is because he has to come up with a reason to fire them for cause and firing them for sabotaging the department they're supposed to oversee comes too close to criticizing republicans' base ideology. it's the same reason all democrats still pretend that republicans are surely acting in good faith and have legitimate political positions that should be engaged with

Right, the "cause" is obvious, but we have Democrats who are 2005 era GOP so they don't want to go against capital.

random q on filibuster culture/implications. only the senators themselves can physically filibuster, right? so it does require some amount of physical pain/effort, right? if so, why not actually force the other party to actually filibuster every once-in-a-while rather than playing the trench-war game meta and just give up? am I wrong in thinking it’s actually rare to force a team to filibuster these days?

I should have been more specific: the republicans base shrunk because to some the republicans didnt coup hard enough, others, too much couping, and all future republicans will have to break along lines of being for the dc reverse benghazi or against it.

Physical presence/speech for a filibuster used to be required. They changed the rules mid 2000s and now they don't habe to be there. an actual stand there reqding the phone book filibuster is only done as a stunt these days.

if the Dems are too wimpy to abolish the filibuster, would they be able to reverse this rule change as the lamest substitute possible?

as far as anyone can tell the second group is a captive audience that votes for republicans no matter what it was the hardcore chud counties that saw their turnout tank in the primaries and theres no indication from polling that the insurrection has actually meaningfully moved the needle and made new groups of people think trump has gone too far

Eh, it moved the needle enough for the donor class, remains to be seen the impact
