Tomorrow, our nation will sit on the throne of the world. This is not a figment of the imagination, but a fact. Tomorrow we will lead the world, Allah willing.

Mysticism isn't very compatible with materialism. It's cheap escapism that promotes grifters and magical thinking. It's one thing to acknowledge it as a cultural relic, but you ain't solving poo poo with tarot cards, star charts, or pretty rocks. They're not going to give you special insights into the mechanics of the world, or bend the world to your will. And allowing it to run rampant attracts grifters and attention seekers to poo poo up your space.

There's certainly some room for discussion of how rituals and belief systems can help comfort people in our contradictory and insane world. But promoting starcharts or warding crystals as a solution to material problems leads to poo poo like praying covid away, or treating masks like a talisman instead of filtration device. You're ignoring the basic tenets of dialectical materialist thought, and providing an empty non-material solution to material problems.

materialism is wholly incompatible with mysticism, in fact. Engels has a good explanation of why in one of the introductions to Socialism: Utopian and Scientific

It's cspam because that snow is crippling the state because our declining empire can't maintain the infrastructure.

President's Day, 2021

The day millions in Texas lost power in freezing weather, right after the Senate had just called a recess after they'd failed to successfully impeach the last U.S. president for a second time.

brb, gonna write a Steven King-style short story about a Cumberland County man who gets haunted by the ghost of a trilobite he bought in a museum gift shop

at the end of the story he and his childhood former best friend defeat the ghost with “the power of human love” or some poo poo (they j/o together and it charges a special crystal and then the crystal shoots a beam at the ghost)

there's one like this where it's two dudes who break down in the desert... and then at night all the ghosts of ancient fish and weird bugs or whatever swim through the canyons... and then the one guy doesn't notice all the ghosts are hiding for some reason but it's too late, he was entranced away from the safety of the car. Shoulda just hunkered down with your bro.
