So I thought I'd try my hand on a serious post for this new forum as I actually like space very much. I like it so much that I have a series of youtube channels I'd like to share with everyone and encourage you to do the same. PBS Space Time https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7_gcs09iThXybpVgjHZ_7g Weekly videos on Astrophysics. This is probably my favorite series, and the first I'd recommend for someone already familiar (not expert, or even comfortable, but familiar) with lots of astronomy/science/math concepts. The videos are well written and produced, and the host interacts with viewer questions almost every week. There's also a patreon and associated discord for those who want to go the extra step. There are many, many videos and concepts are slowly built upon over time. Recently, after years of build-up, we got to a full explanation of the holographic principle which is truly fascinating. I've watched that episode and the ones leading up to it multiple times. Here's a fun video on relativity paradoxes to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MfJ59lkABY Crash Course: Astronomy https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8dPuuaLjXtPAJr1ysd5yGIyiSFuh0mIL Another PBS sponsored curriculum. This is self contained course is my favorite introduction to astronomy concepts from the ground up. Highly recommend. It is hosted by Phil Plait, of Bad Astronomy fame, who does good job making the material relatable, humorous, and informative. Unfortunately, it had a set number of episodes so there's no new content here. My favorite video is probably the one on Neutron stars, specifically for the bit about starquakes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrMvUL8HFlM Fermilab Dr. Lincoln and crew also produce some sweet videos, though they tend to lean more physics than astrophysics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzd2nTi9cLk Veritasium I'm sure you're all familiar with Veritasium, but it's worth mentioning again. His description of the physics of the black hole image produced by the EHT was the clearest of the half-dozen or more descriptions I read or watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUyH3XhpLTo Launch Pad Astronomy I'm actually new to this channel, but have quickly become a fan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4q68iis1p0 Sixty Symbols Brady asks very insightful questions of these University of Nottingham professors to really get some interesting and honest perspectives on the science. Very much like hanging out with your professor and discussing the exciting research that has just been published. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhNPKHbg_64 That's all I'll post for now, though I could probably come up with a few more channels if I tried. Looking forward to finding some good resources I've missed from my fellow goons

I encourage people to check out this archive of BBC's The Sky at Night (originally hosted by the legendary Patrick Moore before his death): https://archive.org/details/SkyAtNightEp462SpaceForAstronomy35thAnniversary26Apr1992 It really is just an amazing program with awesome visualizations and a host that truly and deeply cares about the subject matter. It's also so interesting to watch him cover brand new discoveries at the time.

How could the OP be missing Scott Manley? Posts various space and rocketry stuff and makes great KSP videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvvzvXb2Awc IIRC He posts here as username illectro, but I might have the spelling wrong.
